The Role

Power BI is increasingly being utilised at various levels and departments within the AM Group. It empowers our management team to monitor the overall performance of the company, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and identify trends. Operational teams can leverage Power BI to monitor production efficiency, manage inventory levels, and identify process improvements. Additionally, the sales department can analyze customer data, track sales performance, and explore new market opportunities using Power BI. By combining factual insights with our intuition and passion for the automotive business, we make data-driven decisions that lead to better strategic planning, improved operational efficiency, and higher customer satisfaction. Furthermore, potential issues can be identified early on, allowing us to proactively mitigate risks.

To achieve these objectives, the BI data analyst plays a crucial role by working with data, applying domain expertise, and delivering actionable insights. You will provide meaningful business value through easily understandable data visualizations, enable self-service analytics for others, and deploy and configure solutions for efficient consumption. Collaborating closely with business stakeholders, you will identify business requirements to support project life cycles and perform ad-hoc analyses. Your responsibilities will include data transformation, creating data models, visualizing data, sharing assets using Power BI, building dashboards, and providing relevant advice to stakeholders. In summary, your key responsibilities as a Power BI data analyst will be:

• Acting as a subject matter expert in Power BI
• Assisting the business team in gathering requirements
• Utilizing Power Query to efficiently manage and manipulate metadata for optimal Power BI report performance
• Building Power BI reports and dashboards based on business requirements
• Developing UAT (User Acceptance Testing) scripts and conducting test sessions to ensure reporting readiness
• Maintaining thorough documentation of internal processes, procedures, and individual projects
• Providing insights to the business team regarding enhancement opportunities with each Power BI release
• Leading training sessions and sharing knowledge within the team

As a Power BI data analyst, we expect you to have the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s Degree is required
• 1-3 years of experience as a Data Analyst
• Proficiency in project management, with a proven ability to successfully lead complex projects (3+ Years)
• Knowledge of database management, including diagnostics and resolution of database errors (1+ Year)
• Working knowledge of Power BI (1+ Year)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint (3+ Years)
• Excellent communication skills, enabling you to connect easily with internal and external stakeholders on various levels
• Ability to see the bigger picture and think strategically
• A team player who can challenge, motivate, and inspire others based on insights, delivering top-notch results
